Quantity limited to 1 bottle per household.
A young, peated Ben Nevis matured in a barrel that previously contained a wine from the Montravel appellation - a little known appellation covering dry red and white wines, which is a part of the Bergerac wine region in South West France, on the very outskirts of Bordeaux.
This version, an authentic reflection of the enigmatic Ben Nevis distillate, would certainly have pleased Colin Ross, the emblematic director of the distillery, who died last spring. Much more mature than its displayed young age, its abundantly fruity, roasted and herbaceous aromatic and taste palette propels us with enthusiasm into a magical world.
Distilled in 2016 and bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2011, with an output of only 391 bottles from the 1st Fill Montravel Hogshead.
