SPIRITED EXCLUSIVES

At Spirited, we are constantly on the lookout to partner with passionate (and spirited ;)) Independent Bottlers and Craft Distillers who share the same values and ethos as us - namely, to help people discover great whisky and broaden the horizons of their spirited experiences.

On that quest, we were fortunate to cross paths with an exciting new Independent Bottler, and join hands with them to make their releases available in Asia Pacific and Oceania exclusively through Spirited.

In a short period of 2 years, Roger Tan's eponymous label has become one to watch out for - even making it to multiple Top 10 Whisky lists for 2021. All casks are personally selected by Roger based on what he thinks is most characteristic and most enjoyable in a whisky, and are each released adorned with custom artwork on the labels.

Independent Bottlers

Independent bottlers select and buy casks of whisky and bottle them under their own brand or label. Independent Bottlers (or IBs) exist in the space between distilleries and consumers to introduce interesting expressions or lesser-known distilleries, which are otherwise not available, through single cask or small batch releases.

While they don't distill the whisky themselves, they do focus on variety and uniqueness by managing the flavour of the whisky - through selecting unique casks, then deciding how long to mature it for, and whether to mature it further in a secondary cask (also called cask finish) to add additional layers of flavour to the original whisky.
