Blanton's Gold Edition Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

First introduced in 1984, Blanton’s made history as the first bourbon to be commercially released as a single barrel whiskey, a concept that transformed the American whiskey landscape. Produced at the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, the bourbon is named in honour of Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who led the distillery from 1912 to 1953 and was known for selecting exceptional barrels for private bottlings. Each bottle is drawn from a single carefully selected barrel, meaning no two releases are exactly the same—making it one of the most collectible bourbons in the world.

Originally created for export and highly allocated markets, Blanton’s Gold Edition represents a more powerful and refined interpretation of the classic single barrel style. Bottled at a higher strength than the standard release, it delivers greater depth, richness and structure while preserving the brand’s signature balance of sweetness and spice.

Every bottle features the signature collectible horse-and-jockey stopper system (one of eight collectible letters spelling "B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S") in a gold-tone and with gold embossing on the bottle. Each bottle comes from an individual barrel, allowing subtle variations from barrel to barrel while preserving the signature Blanton’s profile of sweet corn, caramel and spice.

Smooth, rich and elegantly structured, it continues to be one of the most recognisable and collectible single barrel bourbons in the world. Best served neat or on the rocks or in an Old Fashioned cocktail.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Rich aromas of caramel, vanilla and honey with hints of citrus peel, subtle dried fruit, toasted oak and light baking spices such as clove, nutmeg, or cinnamon.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied with layers of sweet corn, caramel, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, baking spice, and charred oak. Gentle rye spice adds structure while maintaining balance and approachability.

Finish: Long, warm, and slightly spicy with lingering oak, vanilla, and caramel sweetness.
